(7,304 posts)1. You know you are hunting next to a preserve and there is a good chance an animal from the preserve could wander off.
2. He had to know they were baiting for a lion, which makes getting one from the preserve all more likely.
3. After seeing a radio collar and your guides trying to destroy it...should at least give you some concern that something isn't right. Anything "radio collared" is where you say, we made a mistake, we need to find out who was monitoring and let them know.
4. His excuse "I relied on the guides" implies he had already concocted a story in case he got caught.
Oh and...when has "officer, I thought the speed limit was 65, I didn't know it was 45" ever worked. Just because "you didn't know" doesn't excuse from the crime.
I hope the extradite his sorry ass and he goes broke to trying to fight it....and still ends up in a Zimbabwe prison.
