I wonder what the toilet seats would cost on a government built commercial aircraft. Would the aircraft have electronic counter measures installed. Would it be capable of dropping bombs in wartime? How quiet would the passenger cabin be?

Often the government develops technologies that are later adapted for civilian use. I believe that if there is a viable market for cargo or passenger space craft or to build industry on the moon to mine its resources, the private sector will be interested in providing the service and profiting from it.

Of course, there will be government regulation.
