HE gets to hit HER.

Why - because he's mad about being spit at.

She, on the other hand does NOT apparently get to spit at him because she's mad about being recorded and being asked a bunch of stupid questions and about being fired.

He felt free to start a confrontation because he knows he can win if there is a fight. He, is apparently a rich guy on vacation. She, on the other hand cannot even afford a second car, so she had to call for a ride home after getting fired.

I think it is kinda funny now if WE are apparently creating at least one exception to the "a man should never hit a woman" rule.
