22. Perhaps a new law or two?

If you buy a gun for someone who can't buy one for himself, you're equally guilty of whatever crime he goes on to commit with the gun. If you own a gun and don't properly secure it and it gets stolen, you're on the hook for whatever crime your stolen weapon goes on to participate in (you're off the hook if you report the weapon stolen within 24 hours).

That is, if we are serious about letting the responsible gun owners freely exercise their rights while holding the irresponsible ones accountable for their irresponsibility. I'm guessing that neither of these suggestions would be acceptable to the responsible gun owners for some reason.
