4. I stand behind my convictions. I don't ask other people to do it for me.

I don't work for employers that would cause me to compromise my values. If it means turning down working at defense contractors (huge poacher of industrial engineers) or working for conservative think tanks (poacher of people with Econ/business degrees). I don't go to work and demand my employer bend to my personal convictions. That's not standing up for what you believe in, it's making someone else do it for you. We need to make that the narrative.
