5. Just what, exactly, does "stand with" mean in this case?

Are they going to "stand with" her in jail, or are they just going to waste a bunch of oxygen trying to grab some of the good wishes from the crazy-ass people? By "standing with" her, are they taking any sort of risk? Is this in any way a stance that will harm them?

The answer is pretty clearly "no," so I conclude that they're just leaching off her sacrifice - if you can even call it that.
