(31,384 posts)That's what Kim is doing. She's believing that she's going to go to hell if
she follows the law. I'm sure it doesn't matter at all to her that
many Christian denominations support marriage equality. I'm sure
it doesn't matter to her that many Christian churches don't
issue dress codes for women that make sure they are dowdy and frumpy
and have little choice in what to wear, how to style their hair, or
choose to wear jewelry and make-up.
She makes her choices. You make your choices.
I still stand by my statement: it is not misogyny to suggest a woman could choose
more attractive clothing. It is misogyny to insist women have little choice in
what they wear because some mythical sky daddy wouldn't approve. That is simply
patriarchal religion demeaning women because if some man didn't tell them what to wear
they'd be going to hell, and that, my friend, is real misogyny.
