Subject: Human Rights Ordinance
From: pflagsedona@gmail.com
I am proud to report that this evening the Sedona City Council unanimously approved the following Human Rights Ordinance:
"It is declared to be the policy for the citizens of the City of Sedona, Arizona, to be free from discrimination in public accommodations, employment, and housing, and contrary to public policy and unlawful to discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, marital status, familial status, age, disability, or veteran status, in places of public accommodation, employment, and housing; and contrary to the policy of the City and unlawful for vendors and contractors doing business with the City to discriminate, as set forth in this chapter."
Please be sure to thank them for their careful and thoughtful study and conclusion on this most important issue.
