2. Proving those damages -

and proving the damages is necessary in any and every civil action - is going to be exceedingly difficult. Proving any damages beyond the money they paid for the outing will be a steep hill to climb. No physical injuries or property damage, no impairment of employment/finances. No jury in its right mind would ever award punitives in anything like that amount.

Proof of damages is where a lot of lawsuits founder in my experience clerking for judges. You can claim whatever amount you want, but the court system is going to make you prove it.
