4. Cops are trained to lie.

It is part of their interrogation technique.

Add to that, the rely on "professional courtesy" to think they can get away with any lie. I've had a cop tell me she is a member of the biggest gang in the country, mess with one of us and you mess with all of us. They know they are in big trouble if the tell the truth about a fellow gang member, I mean cop.

The only "professional courtesy" is to never break the law, so as to never put another cop in the position to have to lie or break their oath to up hold the law and the Constitution of the state or the nation.
