11. It's funny, the routes that history takes.

During the Reformation, Protestants were complaining about canon law superseding the civil law. Now that a certain group of Protestants have some power, they want to claim the same privileges for themselves that the Catholic hierarchy did at another time. Power is just too much temptation for some people, regardless of their religion.
