Where is Cape Hatteras beach? [View all]

I saw it listed on the Doctor Beach rankings but it wasn't clear what he (she?) was talking about.

Is it the stretch of beach right at the cape? Which is damn near impossible to get to.

Is it any beach on Hatteras Island?

Is it any beach on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore? Which stretches from Silver Lake to some arbitrary line in the sand between Rodanthe and Nags Head.

Does anyone know?
