Which certainly is more than what would be needed to defend against two misdemeanors. This shouldn't be a get rich quick remedy and there is nothing on the gonfundme page that states where the excess funds are going. Does the attorney just pocket the money?
I thought the goal of $25,000 was a bit high and it's way past that now. The generosity of people is so amazing but there are so many causes that need our help. This shouldn't be a reward in any case. Now if funds would be used to get rid of the crazy law in S.C. I could get behind it so that students are no longer criminalized for being teenagers.
