Jan 201,000 257,000 The fastest growing areas were health care, retail and construction.
Feb 266,000 295,000 Health care, retail and construction added the most jobs.
Mar 119,000 126,000 Temp jobs were the only hopeful sign since they could turn into full-time if conditions improve.
Apr 187,000 223,000 Strong growth in health care, construction and temp help.
May 254,000 280,000 Health care, retail and hotels/restaurants grew the most.
Jun 245,000 223,000 Health care and retail trade added the most jobs.
Jul 223,000 215,000 Retail trade and health care were the biggest contributors.
Aug 136,000 173,000 Manufacturing lost 22,000 jobs thanks to the strong dollar.
Sep 137,000 142,000 Mining lost 13,000 jobs, and manufacturing lost 9,000 jobs.
