the excellent fusion group Brand X. Liked him plenty on "A Trick of the Tail" and "Wind And Wuthering", the first two post-Gabriel Genesis LPs. Saw Genesis with Bill Bruford on drums and Phil as front man back in 1976 or 1977. Loved him and the band.

Then Steve Hackett left the band and Collins, Banks and Rutherford decided they'd rather be millionaires and make crappy music than be moderately well-off making wonderful music.

Has any band that once was so good ever fallen further?

And regarding Collins' solo career, we shall not speak of this again.
