(21,046 posts)I have played classical piano since I was five years old. I took up the violin at age ten and took violin lessons and played in high school, college and community orchestras for fifteen years. I had season tickets to the big city symphony in the seventh and eighth grade.
I've seen Arthur Rubinstein and Jacqueline duPre LIVE in concert. (If you don't know who they are, look them up on YouTube). I had season tickets to the opera in high school.
Music, especially classical, but also rock and jazz have obsessed me my whole life.
I listened to pop music in the sixties, seventies and eighties.
I recently bought a copy of "Serious Hits...Live!" and listen to it in the car.
If you know who my avatar is, besides being a famous astrophysicist, you get extra points. He's my favorite guitar god.
I have always liked Phil Collins. Yeah, he's commercial. So what? He's good at what he does. I know nothing about drumming.
Take your outrage somewhere else and channel it into something constructive. Or take up knitting. I really don't care.
