This was posted on one of my town's unofficial "community" FB pages:

Can we start a petition to stop these refugees coming in our state. I believe we can help from a distance. But more importantly what about helping our veterans.

Predictably, it was met with a chorus of support, all justified by the exact bigotry that you'd imagine. I'm horrified and embarrassed, and I'm not candy-coating my replies.

What a bunch of sick, ignorant fucks. Right in here in my town, and probably in every town.
