The entire thing has become very tiresome. Really very Jr high school.

I admire Cali, respect her knowledge and abhor the behavior of those that goad someone into a hide. I also find the fact that members of MIRT and main forum hosts that are playing this stupid game is indicative of the mindset and bias that we currently see.

The thing is, it has done nothing in helping this board. We lose great posters more and more often. We see more and more posts from other sources kicked to the top, while the excellent articles written by DUers drop like stones when they are written at all.

One of the great things about du, for years, was the original posts. Posts by people who had no chance of being seen otherwise. Now, so many of those great writers have left because of stupid shit like this. No one gains and everyone loses.
