(10,893 posts)It says something about how this country still doesn't have it's you-know-what (rhymes with "fit"
together when at least 30%-40% of voters actually consider supporting this man and how he's given ample airtime. Between his lack of experience in politics, his hot-headed personality, and him capitalizing on fear and hate, he does not belong anywhere near the White House. A president is supposed to represent all Americans and all walks of life, but how could he possibly do it? He has no ideas that are proven to help non-rich Americans financially, he lacks a detailed vision regarding how to help the country, and his rhetoric creates resentment and otherization. The same thing pretty much applies to his GOP rivals, except he has a shorter fuse and is more blunt. The silver lining about having Trump front and center, though, is that he's bringing out of the closet the bitterness within his party. This should draw an even starker contrast between us and them (as if the contrast wasn't already stark), possibly enraging more people and motivating them to vote against the GOP. The more they have extremists such as Trump representing their party, the less likely they'll be relevant nationally in future elections.
