Mitt Romney faces an uphill battle as he campaigns Tuesday in Colorado, with a new poll showing President Obama leading the Republican challenger by 4 percentage points.

The survey, released Tuesday by the Democratic-leading firm Project New America, shows Obama leading Romney 48-44 percent. The president's lead comes primarily from Hispanic, female and unaffiliated voters, with Obama posting double-digit leads in each demographic group.
