Michelangelo, Raphael, Rubens, Rembrandt, Velasquez, Goya, David, Ingres, Picasso, Matisse all had great recognition during their lives. Even Van Gogh would have been renowned in his lifetime had he lived.

Sorry I misread. later in their lives for many.
