1. An honest mistake (I hope)

Nobody would confuse skeet shooting with sniper assassination. The holiday is on his birthday, not the day he was killed, so doorbuster sales, liquidations, etc. are OK. I guess skeet shooting events are OK, too. Pretty much all our holidays now are just days when we go shopping for bargains. We will know it's all over when September 11th is preceded by TV ads for big box retailers. It's probably already happening somewhere in this great land of ours.
