It's explicitly illegal to corporally-punish your child in Connecticut. It carries a more-severe sentence than doing the same to an adult without their consent. (This differs from Massachusetts (where corporal-punishment is also illegal and severely-punished) where the law states you cannot consent to abuse...meant to make it easier to prosecute domestic violence, it has done more to criminalize consensual BDSM.)
