(4,213 posts)She's been trying for a month to figure out what is going on. The executives won't return her e-mails or phone calls. They wouldn't tell her what is going on, and when another news agency (CNN) started to inquire as to whether or not the show had been cancelled, they attempted to put her back on. However, they only wanted her to read what they put in the teleprompter. That's where she drew the line, and what she meant about "losing editorial control."
That's why she sent the e-mail out to her staff, to let them know that she won't be sitting in that chair and reading what they're telling her to read. She wants her show back, or at least a respectful answer as to whether or not she's been cancelled.
They've even had her fly out to places like Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. She stayed in the same hotel as the other hosts, but they didn't let her on air. As she points out, this is despite the fact that she has a PhD in Political Science, and has been teaching the subject for two decades. She's perhaps one of the most qualified people to speak, but she's been effectively shut out completely. And, once again, they aren't responding to her e-mails and phone calls.
