the college campus is one of the last bastions of: not only free speech per say; but also free expression your mind in other forms so long as they don't harm others.

not only that, but the college is a community where the student learns vital skills for making things work out in the real world; AKA pro-social behavior. campus carry throws a monkey wrench into all of that. packing heat because of your irrational fear, etc is not pro-social behavior, but rather an anti-social behavior, or to put it better, an expression of physical hatred towards other people and a form of passive aggression/ psychological bullying. simply put, it is an enabler for the aggressive and selfish to dominate the peaceful and innocent.
