39. El Camino College professor fears for life after student’s threat

A 28-year-old El Camino College student is under criminal investigation for allegedly threatening to kill an English professor who failed him, demanding she change his grade or “I’m putting a bullet through your (expletive) head,” court records show.

Dash Nicholas Porter spent nearly a year sending 14 vulgar and threatening direct messages on Facebook to professor Cynthia Somin, who didn’t know they existed under she discovered them Dec. 26, court records show.

“Change my grade bitch or I’m gonna kill you!” Porter wrote at 11:59 a.m. Feb. 26 ...
