22. Our local paper used to insist on publishing the addresses of people who wrote in.

We've tried to tell the editor local paper that was pretty damn stupid to do that but he was insistent on putting in the full street address. Even after letter writers were getting harassed, getting obscene mail, pictures of themselves mailed to them, and so on. Finally this boneheaded editor changed the policy down to just putting the street the people live on. I suspect he was going to continue putting the full addresses in but either the police or the newspaper's lawyers told him that needed to change. I still have stupid people sending me crap every time I write a letter, I just send it to the circular file without even reading it.
