(4,558 posts)Take heart, this is primary season, and this is how primary season goes when there's more than 1 candidate with large support.
Come June, most will rally behind the actual nominee. Some from the candidate that doesn't win will chose not to support the one that does, but I think most will be smart enough to rally.
President Obama has had, overall, a smashing success of a presidency and maintains high popularity. Our chances of a November victory is (imo) quite high. Just as great, the SCOTUS appointment has the potential to regain us a majority in the Senate, even if it is by just a couple of seats.
Sadly, the house is not shaping up to be a good of an outlook, so... If my assessment is at all correct.. Our next POTUS will have his/her work cut out.
