Blame the DNC, and the Establishmentdon't blame good Democrats, whether for either Bernie or Hillary.
Forcing a coronation type scenario on one candidate has terribly alienated much of the base and made us feel that our economic injustice concerns are not to be taken seriously. That we should again wait and maybe even accept some austerity--such as whittled away SS system or the continuation of for-profit health care which is really damaging us.
The strong arm tactics of the monied forces in the Democratic Party also had the effect of suppressing the candidacy of less Establishment Democrats---such as Elizabeth Warren--where we could have had a candidate that would organically and spontaneously really unite the entire party. A genuinely progressive woman candidate would not have split the party as it now is split.
And who knows who else would have run if not having to outspend the Clinton Machine? A better question iswhy is the Democratic Party so weak in possibles? Why didn't we have a deep bench?
Don't scold the Democrats in the trenches for expecting our party to send us FDR type Democrats. Shame on the Party for moving so far to the right.
This "civil war" was utterly predictable.
