In early 2011, the CIA and State saw an opportunity across the MENA region to ignite a Sunni-based uprising.Along with France, Italy, the UK, and in coordination with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the Gulf States, exile groups were mobilized, propaganda assets utilized, and opposition factions armed and directed. Nothing spontaneous or humanitarian about it. Just another day at the Office.
