(3,830 posts)Do you remember that? There were over 900,000 signatures collected on the recall petition. It was organized by union representatives who were going to be greatly affected by the dismantling of collective bargaining rights and Democrats and Walker won that race by more votes than he got in the original one! I fail to understand how the Democrats were or are responsible for that failure to remove the one person who is most responsible for initiating, installing and overseeing the most damaging voter disenfranchisement in the state? People tried, but failed and Wisconsin voted this SOB back into office so he could continue to do this damage to voting rights. We, as voters, need to make sure before we go to the polls in Republican held states as well as any state, that we have our names on the voting rolls. It is that important because so many people are being removed for the very purpose of keeping you from voting. You have the right to ask for a provisional ballot in most states, and you need to know that. It has to start at the state level because that is where the problems lie. To equate this with Democrats is just false and not backed by facts. This is just an attempt to deflect from the very serious problem of voter disenfranchisement perpetrated by Republican legislatures across this country.
