Trying to claim some guilt by association in that teeny tiny world of politics, consisting mind you of just a couple thousand people, total, by Bill Clinton being somehow involved in a massive international drug trafficking conspiracy is just a load of hooey.
I read the stories decades ago, and now they're being conveniently recirculated now that Mrs. Clinton is running for President.
My bets are on that Lewinsky has been approached with a fat cash offer (or ten) to regurgitate her story as well, and ante up that bet with what's-her-name who claimed Bill flashed his willy at her. Oh the horror.
Guess what? Bill Clinton was never perfect and never claimed to be. I worked on a campaign of his waaaaaaaaaay back in the day, the guy couldn't keep his willy in his trousers, he was always waving that thing around. BUT he never hurt anyone, he never forced his attentions on anyone, he never intimidated or lied. He was a sweet talking, smoooooth guy with a great smile that could charm the pants off pretty much any interested female, and like a lotta guys, was absolutely certain he was born with the very first, and certainly most spectacular penis. So. What? Doesn't make him a criminal, much less a rapist. Just a horny smooth talker.
THAT was his worst 'crime'. Not drugs running, no grand conspiracy to infest communities with crack and blow. Trying to insert Clinton into the Mena/Barry Seal drug-running saga doesn't hold water. Trying to play the 'oh look, he's BEST friends with _________ (list criminals here) and ergo DON'T VOTE FOR A CLINTON, won't play to anyone with half a brain cell.
Look, Obama can't run for President again, which is a genuine tragedy. He is the best and brightest political leader in the past 150 years on this planet. I wish that Sanders had the true potential, but he doesn't have that certain 'it'. That star quality, that.... certain something. His finger isn't on any particular pulse, and I wish it were. He's good, and nearly great, but not good enough.
We all know the GOP doesn't have a leg to stand on; their field is tainted, polluted and just fetid and rotting from every crevasse. That leaves Mrs. Clinton, who is a genuinely esteemable, intelligent and compassionate person and woman. She'll do just fine.
