(10,751 posts)I know you can find any amount of hyperbole, diatribes and attack ads about how awful she is, but she was a good first lady, a good senator, and she has always been a good supporter of the Democratic party platform. Sound bytes and innuendo are as good as lies, against a long and solid public record - takes more than that to change my mind.
My daughters are also Sanders supporters, and I've been proud of how involved they have gotten in the issues and how politically aware. My older daughter the other day said how she hated Hillary...I asked her what she knew about her, and it amounted to nothing but attack ads. We spent a little while talking (me talking) about how easy it is for media to get you to hate someone, and how human nature leads people who are very similar to polarize into teams and hate each other. Its not necessary, not fact-based, not helpful to what anyone wants to accomplish; hatred only leads in one direction, which is not where you want to go.
