This is too, too familiar an approach, having seen it play out with addicts around here in real life (as well as by this poster on DU before)--always the complicated story, always how nothing else can help but actual cash. It reeks of desperation.

On the 1% chance this is genuine, I still think a person ought not to post such requests here more than once, hence TTW's request ought not to have been allowed. It makes it that more difficult for someone else who might be in genuine need to ever ask the community for help.

It's really sad to me to see good-hearted people on this thread donating to a person who has demonstrated before in great detail that they aren't operating in good faith. That money is better gone to so many other people with actual need. THOSE are the people who are hurt by this.

Very sad.
