(1,722 posts)These pictures of our Princess Frog. She's my Diva Dog. We adopted her from a friend. We've known her since a pup. She was WELL loved and socialized by them. The only reason she's with us is due to their circumstances.

It was really hot upstairs and my 19 year old wanted to crash in the living room

These two above are my 21 year old getting her cuddles on the den floor.
This is Baby in 2007, Sadly we had to help her sleep a couple years ago. She had a genetic disorder that caused her body to attack itself. Even with fighting it for two years eventually her body started to shut down. First blindness, then gastric distress. She couldn't take food any longer. I got two seperate opinions, and it broke my heart. She was my doll baby. My protector and best friend. I posted this one from before she was ill because this is how I'll always remember her.

I've tried not answering in these threads because I didn't want my anger to pound through.
You're right, she DIDN'T socialize her dog. NEITHER of my babies would have attacked someone like that unless on command or if I were in extreme distress. These dogs are independent, smart, loyal. They are fierce protectors and unless raised properly with full socialization these situations like what happened with Ms and her former are beyond dangerous. Being loyal shouldn't mean being aggressive. Aggression comes from improper training.
I wanted to scream at the screen. I've actually gotten a little obsessive about this and went back through all the other threads to get the story straight as much as I could.
I would take Yoshi in a heartbeat. I know this breed, and his world is so narrow right now from his lack of socialization. It makes me want to cry.
