It would have gone better with Bernie vs Trump

Not that I would want Bernie to let up. He should fire on all cylinders as well. There is so much material to use.

But going the other way? The only card Trump would have is the "evil socialist" card. And after months of campaigning, Bernie has the lowest negativity numbers of all of them, and he has not been shy about proclaiming himself a democratic socialist. And especially if he ever had the chance to speak to even more of the nation to explain exactly what democratic socialism would mean to the every day lives of Americans. It would be a rich capitalist welfare bum with a nasty mouth vs. a nice guy, and someone who's popularity rests with his call for the wealthy to pay more. If that is the only issue Trump can use on him, then Bernie will come out on top.

Ms. Clinton has waaaaaaaaaaay more material for the Don to use both real and other "scandals" that are already burnt into a lot of minds as being real. He could highlight a new one every week.
