24. Trying to out-demagogue a demagogue is a risky strategy too unless we run a demagogue too.

We don't have or need a demagogue. We may have to offer an alternative to voters that differentiates us from the blustering demagogue.

We need a 'high energy' focused campaign (since we know Donald likes to cast opponents as 'low-energy losers') that points out the differences between their racist, misogynist, isolationist candidate and ours.

Trump will be a dangerous campaigner and should not be underestimated. He will not be defeated by polite policy discussions, though we need to use the campaign to educate the public on the downside of his bigoted policy ideas. He knows how to turn policy discussions into juvenile shouting matches and name-calling.

Blustering RW demagogues have to be resisted forcefully without becoming what we are resisting. The best we can do is to give the voters a real choice offering distinct policies, personalities and competence.
