America elected Reagan and George W twice. Never underestimate the stupidity of the electorate. Combine that with the Republicans effectively repealing voting rights legislation and its very possible. Trump voters are fired up. And in a way Democrats like the Clintons have caused it. Trump can point to the Clintons support of NAFTA which has devastated the middle class and will be able to convince "Reagan Democrats" that he is the better option to bring back jobs to America. Trump looks like change and Clinton looks like same old same old. And change is a great motivator. To me that is Trumps greatest asset. He looks like the outsider and he looks like the anti free/slave trade candidate. Americans have seen their incomes slashed and their jobs sent overseas. I wish the Democrats could blame Republicans for this but thanks to Wall Street Dems like the Clintons they cannot. I was around when NAFTA was shoved down America's throat and Clinton and Gore led the charge. With allies like Jimmy Carter and the media all saying Perot was a nut for saying it would be a disaster ( which it has been ). It was a boom to the top 1% and screwed the bottom 90%. Big surprise. Do not get me wrong, I am voting for Hillary. But if there is one thing that Trump has in his favor it's sticking NAFTA in the Clintons faces. Whether Trump is really anti NAFTA and anti free/slave trade is questionable. The man is a first class liar and fraud. But to American middle class workers the more someone rants against these backstabbing deals that have destroyed their way of life the more likely they will vote for them. Bernie could have argued he was the best anti free/slave trader. The Clintons will not be able to.
