Several decades back, the Oregon State Penitentiar developed a solution for inmates who threw food in the mess hall, or excrement from their cells. They called it 'Nutraloaf.' They took all of a day's food allotment for the inmate, ground it up together, baked it for a couple hours and voila'! The words 'shit a brick' took on new meaning.

The program attracted much attention before it withered away.
