JBE is not related to Edwin Edwards. And his stance on abortion has been consistent. No, he does not pass the 100% purity test. He did expand Medicare, protect LGBT rights, and support a medical marijuana bill. Cut him some slack, I guess those critical of him would support his opponent David Vitter?
