He already have DOJ suing North Carolina over this whole deal. A judgment in favor of the DOJ would have pretty much resolved this nationwide, although the DOJ would still have to fight some rearguard actions from Texas and some of the other deep southern states. This unexpected and, to my way of thinking unnecessary action, particularly at this time does nothing more than give the Rethugs their golden wedge issue to beat to death in order to mobilize the troops and elect Trump. If you didn't listen to Texas' goober Lt. Governor last night you should have. He flat out stated that they intend to make this the #1 Repubican voter issue in this election - "DO YOU WANT YOUR 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TO SHOWER WITH BOYS???"
