12. Fast Track and Executive Agreements

Fast Track was created to pass trade agreements by limiting amendments. Renewal was passed by majorities in congress and signed by Obama in 2015.


Executive agreements - changes the vote threshold from a Treaty (2/3 Senate vote) to a simple majority and a Presidential signature.

None of these stupid trade deals (NAFTA, WTO, TPP, TTIP) are or were "Treaties". They are all executive agreements.

Clinton could have vetoed NAFTA and the WTO.

Obama could stop TPP and TTIP instead of pushing it.
