clearly the way for the Democratic Party to have its "earthquake election" this year.

If the Democratic Party flaunts Progressive social values, but acts regressively on economic issues and also cannot find its way to include the wider Progressive issues that Bernie is fighting for, it only weakens itself and turns its back on much longer traditions of Progressivism and Democratic Party than were concocted in the 90's and flirted with ever since.

The stronger move is to embrace Progressivism, as postulated upfront in the post, in a wider way. The weaker move is to tell Bernie supporters you don't need their vote, you don't care about them, they lost and so should shut up, and anyway, they should vote Democratic because of Donald Trump.
