The idea, young person, was for the economy to collapse so thoroughly the people who spent all that money to put the last three Republicans in the White House would be able to buy it all up for five cents on the dollar. And I mean ALL of it: everyone's house, all the businesses they didn't already own, and every inch of federal land. But nooooooo...their evil scheme was foiled the first time by a damn Democratic lawyer from a small town in Arkansas, and the second time by another Democratic lawyer from Chicago.
