(3,585 posts)when they tried to attack him the media would not cover or support their attacks but instead covered Trump's come backs and insults in great detail.
For example when Cruz won Iowa he didn't get a bounce, instead the media CUT his coverage in the days following and gave the momentum to 3rd place Rubio, nor did the media ever cover Cruz as the first Hispanic to ever win a primary, etc., throughout the primary it was like that, 2 billion dollars of media covering Trump as the leader of all things.
Whether he was calling Carson a pathological child molester, or taking out Jeb Bush, or attacking Cruz's wife, the media was always selling Trump, or more accurately, just asking Trump to sell himself, if you go back and look at all the interviews, it was Trump handling the entire interview as a personal advertisement, while the interviewers just nodded.
Trump alone could not manage to diminish so many major American figures in the primary, in party politics, in the media, and everywhere, unless he had the media helping him, he never even had to buy ads, he could wake up and call in from his bed, and win the day, everyday.
