I carry a glock 19 because It has high capacity, good accuracy, and is proven reliable. I shoot an AR15 at the range for the same reasons. It's the weapon I trained with in the miltary, and I use both everyday at work. I suppose I mostly like having them because of the absolute conniptions my having them sends busybody little statists into. They froth at the mouth and pull their hair out, I calmly squeeze off another well placed group into the ten ring while admiring the great strides the gun rights movement has won. Yin/yang and all that.

I don't dignify "Why do you need?" posts.

All I "need" is to pay taxes and die. Food, shelter and water too, I suppose.

I'm not in the habit of making people rationalize what they need and don't need. Too totalitarian/Maoist for me.

Also, don't be obtuse. I said there isn't an active effort to ban knives. Stop reinterpreting what I say so as to make it more convenient for yourself.
