Both my sons are gay. Both are in long term relationships. I've seen them showing affection for each other
and it warms my heart. There is something very wrong when people don't understand love.
It pisses me off that killing machines are available to anyone in this country to use to wipe out other people
just because you don't understand or agree with someone who is different than you are. It pisses me off
that there are politicians-- and people of influence who claim religion for their justification--who either
encourage this kind of bigotry and hatred or look the other the way when it happens.
I don't see this country coming to grips with these issues, either. Haters gonna' hate and gun nuts gonna' holler
about some damn right to own something that couldn't even be imagined in 1789. On top of that, those
state militias were all about slavery--which could only exist in the context of a police state-- and the enforcement of that police state was the explicit job of the southern state militias.

So, Aerows, I am with you. I am sad for the families and friends of all the people who have been gunned down in these massacres. And I am sad for our country. I don't think
this will be the last time any of us will feel this kind of sadness because how are you going to round up more than 350 million guns? That's how many of them there are in this country.

It only takes one hater with one gun to act on his hate. Yes, I am sad with you Aerows, and we all have every right to be sad. So sad.
