In reply to the discussion: Clinton: "Trump has written a lot of books about business. They all seem to end at chapter 11" [View all]angrychair
(12,468 posts)12. Name calling is great for headlines and Twitter wars
But we should expect more from people asking to run our country.
A far to significant portion of press time lately has been allocated to Twitter wars and verbal jabs in the press. This is ridiculous.
We have serious issues and I don't think it is to much to ask that the person I vote to run the most powerful nation on Earth not get in Twitter or newswire name-calling fights like a bunch of pre-teen adolescents.
We continually fail at learning the lesson that we don't get the government we want, we get the government we deserve.
Until we learn that lesson, this is the government we will get.
(Government, not specific president or specific member of Congress or candidate but government)

Her focus on the issues is neither denied nor even minimized by a well-placed bazinga.

Plus ... It's not difficult to figure out what this speech/these "zingers" are designed to do ...

Trump is a coward and a bully and a bigot -- and this is how you treat them
