2. It was an attempt to override the president's veto

of that bill. And (drum roll please) it failed because it didn't reach a 2/3 majority necessary to override a presidential veto. Is there a smilie for thumbing one's nose? This is why we absolutely must increase our votes in both the house and senate.

(The bill basically said that financial advisers didn't have to act or advise in the best interest of their customers.)
