18. My neighbors have a very old border collie named Jack

I love him and will be really torn up when he's gone. They got an aussie pup a couple of years ago, and I think it's helped him stay youthful longer, but each time I see him,I can see he's slowing down a lot.

They are just so smart and personable. I've had two dogs similar in personality to Border collies (still have one), and they are really just amazing dogs. My favorite commercial is of a woman driving a convertible, and her border collie is sitting in the passenger seat...she says something to him and he turns and looks at her while she's looking at him, and it's just like she's talking to a human. I love that commercial, because that's they way they are. Like a human.

I"m glad you had such a long time with your beloved dog.
